If you want an actual Android application, I recommend looking at Leena. This is a free Android program, which has a really neat interface. It works as a mobile email client and also as a web browser. The interface is similar to the Android email client, and the web browser has a very similar layout to that of a web browser on the iPhone. What sets Leena apart, however, is that it actually contains everything you would get out of a regular desktop UI for a smart phone. The only drawback of Leena is that it cannot be used as a standalone application, and you must download an official Google Android app for your mobile phone in order to run it.
For those of you who have never used a desktop UI before, the difference between the two is fairly obvious. When you have a traditional desktop computer you have a screen, which is usually large enough to show off all of your icons and files. You can drag these around to create a separate screen or you can just leave everything on the main desktop area. If you use a regular PC, you generally have a mouse to move around the interface. When you use a smartphone with a desktop UI, you do not.
With Leena, you can create a virtual desktop on the Android mobile phone and use the keyboard to input the files you want to use. You can then navigate the interface by clicking and dragging the items around. This gives you the same sort of experience as using a mouse on a desktop PC. It also allows you to add a folder to the bottom of your screen to make it easier to view your files. Once you've completed the layout you want, you can add your favorite photo, music, videos, etc. to your home screen. If you need a new image, or a new file, you will be able to upload it from any number of applications available on the internet.
